- Popular culture is what is the interest of the people today, it means things like car types, cell phone, computers, music, entertainment, clothing styles, and different trends that are "IN" today.
- Having an understanding of popular culture allows us to make business decisions on items to sell in our stores. Example: foods to sell based on diet trends. It also allows us to understand the wants and needs of individuals we may hire, or try and sell services too. It is the basis for our economic culture.
- The IPHONE is a pop culture artifact. The Iphone is a item that represents a huge trend in the advances of technology, it is not only a top seller, but it also provides easier access to information in our daily business lives.

I agree that pop culture is what we the people are interested in. The iPhone to me is an icon also. It is the first of its kind that people wanted to buy. It was a very hot item when it first came out and there are still lots of people that have it today. The iPhone has revolutionized the business world through its accessibility. It is a mini computer right at your fingertips. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteNot only the iPhone but now also the Androids are used just as much and you're right about it being a computer at your fingertips!

ReplyDeleteI am also struck by the dramatic ways it has altered our personal lives. So many people (myself included) have become consumers of multiple layers of technology and media. I find it difficult even to sit down for a movie or favorite TV show without having my iphone and laptop next to me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your thoughts.

The iPhone is a great example of pop culture. So, many people own one, and even if they don't, they know exactly what it is. I was hesitant to get mine just because they were "too" popular, but now that I own one, I don't see myself ever living without it!
ReplyDeleteApple is an icon! You hit that one right on the head. We are all...or most of us I should say...so dependant on our cell phones as so much more than just a phone. It's hard to think of not having one as much as I use it.
